"An impossible weight" - Canvas 45x60 cm / 18x24″

An Impossible Weight depicts an ornate silver balance scale holding a hen on one side and an egg on the other. The scale bends impossibly beneath the weight of the egg. The painting explores the extraordinary experience of bringing something physically small into the world, only to discover that its importance outweighs your own. Its needs become greater than yours, its happiness more consequential, and its vulnerability more consuming. Motherhood becomes a constant balancing act between your own needs and those of someone whose existence has fundamentally altered their relative weight. The scale tips impossibly in the child's favor, reflecting not an objective measurement, but the mother's experience of that imbalance.

Designed for those who seek art that resonates on a soul level, this piece features a luminous, mysterious quality that defies explanation. Its composition speaks to the all-consuming connection between the creator and the creation, making it a perfect centerpiece for a thoughtful, modern home.
